Message to the Japan Oman Club

His Excellency Mr. Khalid Al Muslahi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman

I would like to express my heartfelt congratulations on the launching of the Oman Japan Club Homepage, and also would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the Club for its excellent activities to introduce Oman to the friendly Japanese people, and for its cooperation and support to the Embassy and Omani students.

Oman is the closest Arab country to Japan, not only geographically but also in the warmth of the friendly relations between our peoples. The year of 2012 marked the 40th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and the Sultanate of Oman; however, the relationship between our two nations is the oldest in the Middle East and goes back to 400 years.

Since its establishment three years ago, the Japan Oman Club has performed a wide range of activities for its members, and its membership base has been growing in numbers and diversity. Every time I meet with the Club’s member, it always makes me very happy, simply because I can easily feel their warmhearted affection to my country.

I am confident that the Japan Oman Club holds a great deal for the closer bonds of friendship between Oman and Japan, and will prosper to new levels for the mutual benefit of the peoples of Oman and Japan in the days to come.

 

 

日本オマーンクラブ会員の皆様へ

日本オマーンクラブ公式ホームページの開設に心よりお祝い申し上げます。同時に貴クラブが友好的な日本国民にオマーン紹介をするなど様々な素晴らしい活動を行い、また駐日大使館並びにオマーン人留学生にご協力・ご支援くださっていることにも心からお礼を申し上げます。

オマーンは地理的のみならず両国民の友好関係の面からも日本に一番近いアラブの国でもあります。２０１２年は日本オマーン外交樹立４０周年記念の年でありましたが、両国の関係は中東で最も古く４００年も遡ります。

３年前に設立されて以来日本オマーンクラブは会員に対し広範な活動を行ってこられ、会員数や会員の分野も広がってきています。貴クラブの会員にお会いするたびに私は嬉しくなりますが、それは私の母国に対する皆さんの温かい愛情を感じるからです。

日本オマーンクラブがオマーンと日本の友好の絆の深化に大いに貢献し、この先もオマーン・日本両国民が相互に恩恵を受けるよう新たな段階へと繁栄していくものと私は確信しております。
